GPS tracking companies in the UAE vs one fleet ERP

Do not put a GPS company and an ERP in the same RFP column. They are not substitutes.

Different jobs

GPS companies in the UAE install, warrant and keep SIMs alive. They should be good at that. They are rarely good at job cards, freight billing, fuel matching and payroll incentives. Buying a second tracker brand to 'get software' is how you own three maps.

Score GPS vendors on uptime and device health. Score FleetERP on whether an exception becomes a commercial or workshop action without a CSV. Keep both scores. Do not average them.

How to run the buying process

Leave the GPS contract running. Pilot the ERP on a subset of assets using the existing feed. If the pilot cannot dispatch, maintain and cost those assets, the ERP failed — not the tracker.
